Forensic Entomology - Insects solving crimes

Fresh Fly

1.What is the main food source for the insect?
Ans.Fruit fly larvae are possible prey of ants staphylinid beetles. Chickens and other fowl may eat fruit fly larvae present on overripe fruits and vegetables and sometimes consume fly pupae found beneath trees. Other common larval and pupal fruit fly predators include predaceous wasps wasps, mites and crickets

2. How does it help determine the time of death at a crime scene?
Ans. When a suspicious death occurs, a forensic entomologist may be called to assist in processing the crime scene. Insects found on or near the body may reveal important clues about the crime, including the victim's time to death.

3.What is the time length and description of it's life cycle?
Ans. Fruit files undergo three stages of development before emerging as adults: egg, larva and pupa. At room temperature, fruit flies can develop into adults within one to two weeks. The egg and larval stages span approximately eight days, while the pupal stage lasts six days. The adult fruit flies lives for several errks.

4. Describe what the insect looks like and post a picture of it.
Ans. It's look like exactly honey bee but thios fruit fly could cause a human very easily with dangerous poison.

House Fly

1. .What is the main food source for the insect?
Ans. The main food source of houseflies are milk, sugar, blood, feces, and decaying organic matter such as fruits and vegetables. Houseflies also require a source of water. Larvae also eat paper and textile materials such as wool, cotton and sacing if it is kept moist and at suitable temperatures.

2. How does it help determine the time of death at a crime scene?
Ans. Entomology is the study of insects, and forensic entomologists use insects to provide information about crimes.

3.What is the time length and description of it's life cycle?
Ans. With a day housefly eggs hatch into larvae, also known as maggots. Maggotos are legless white insects that feed from the egg laying site for three to five days

4.Describe what the insect looks like and post a picture of it.
Ans. This looks like a bee. This insect could kill other insects very easily

DNA structure colouring questions !

1. What are the 3 parts of a nucleotide ?
Ans. 1) a five carbon ribose sugar,
 2) a phosphate molecule and
3) one of four nitrogenous bases: adenine, guanine, cytosine or uracil.

2. What 4 bases are found in DNA?
Ans.  adenine (abbreviated A), cytosine (C), guanine (G) and thymine (T)

3. What 2 molecules make the sides of the DNA ladder?
Ans. It has an alternating chemical phosphate and sugar backbone, making the 'sides' of the ladder. (Deoxyribose is the name of the sugar found in the backbone of DNA.)

4. What molecules make the steps or rings of the ladder ?
Ans. Nitrogenous Bases: HydrogenBonding, Lesson & Quiz. Adenine, cytosine, thymine, guanine, and uracil! They are the 'rungs' in the DNA ladder. Learn how these ring-shaped molecules spell out your genes and pair with each other.

5. Which molecules do the bases attach to on the sides
Ans.(Deoxyribose is the name of the sugar found in the backbone of DNA.

6. Which bases always pair together ?
Ans.Adenine pairs with thymine and guanine pairs with cytosine.

Fingerprint Assignment

FBI 30 Year Old Murder Solved

The case was officially re opened and assigned to the cold case squad doug herout. working with the laboratory technicians and analysts. FBI solved a big criminal case and it got so popular. They found a guy with using his fingerprints. In 1978 61 year old Carroll Bonnet was stabbed to death in his apartment. Police got successful by using his fingerprints. Everyone got shocked when they find the killer after for like 30 years approximately. He was in his house one day and literally the police came up to his house and caught him. When he murdered officers found that he was trying to clean up the blood but badly he left his fingerprints there. When he came out from that building he went to drive the car but he had blood on his left hand and when he opened the door that door had his fingerprints. The police found his car after so many days and sent it to the lab for testing. Lab testers found fingerprints, blood, a pistol from the back and black jacket. In that jacket there was a knife too.

Hybrid and Electric Cars Web Resources

     Electric cars work
Electric cars are something that show up in the news all the time. There are several reasons for the continuing interest in these vehicles. Electric cars create less pollution than powered cars, so they are an environmentally friendly alternative to gasoline-powered vehicles (especially in cities).

The environmental impacts of electric vehicles.
The electric power system is changing and, especially, the electrical distribution system will meet  new features. One of the large changes is a transformation of the transportation sector with the use of electricity, with introduction of electrical vehicles and Plug-in Electric Vehicles (PEVs). This will pose new challenges and opportunities for the electric distribution companies. This paper analyzes the effects of PEVs charging on the local 400 V and 10 kV electric distribution systems in the city of Gothenburg, Sweden, using steady-state power flow analysis. Two different areas representing residential area and commercial area have been simulated for the worst-case scenario, which is simultaneous charging of all the vehicles during the peak load period.

The advantages and disadvantages of using electric vehicles
Electric traction is one of the most promising technologies that can lead to significant improvements in vehicle performance, energy utilization efficiency, and polluting emissions. Among several technologies, hybrid electric vehicle (HEV) traction is the most promising technology that has the advantages of high performance, high fuel efficiency, low emissions, and long operating range. Moreover, the technologies of all the component hardware are technically and markedly available.

The major challenges facing implementation of electric vehicle
The battery management system (BMS) is a critical component of electric and hybrid electric vehicles. The purpose of the BMS is to guarantee safe and reliable battery operation.
